Description

This is the official mailing list for the Atlanta ATV repeater, home repeater for the Atlanta chapter of ATN (Amateur Television Network). All official postings will be made here. To combat spam-bots and flamefests, messages from brand new list members will be approved by a moderator before being allowed to be visible.

Our Atlanta ATV repeater transmits on 427.25 MHz, exactly corresponding to CATV channel 58. It is easily received on a normal, analog, Cable-Ready set by connecting a UHF vertically polarized outdoor antenna to your CATV input, setting the TV to receive CATV 58 and pointing the antenna towards Sweat Mountain. This is just N of Atlanta, close to where Fulton, Cobb, and Cherokee counties touch.
We have an input on 1255 MHz FM which is a standard 12 MHz wide FM TV signal, accepting a 6 MHz sound subcarrier. We are a coordinated SERA repeater and have been for over 14 years.
We retransmit NASA Space Shuttle video and audio for all missions 24x7, as a memorial to Tim Mallory AI4B and Kip Turner W4KIP. Users with only 1 watt have been known to get in to the receiver with nearly a P5 from as far away as Dillard, GA.
