Dear friends,

 

As you probably remember I must write a PhD thesis about 2 ethnic communities in Canada. One of them is the Italian-Canadian community. It will be a comparative study.

I will focus on the literary corpus I have chosen having as main theme immigration, metamorphosis of identity, attitude to country of origin and to adoptive country.

 

In september I have a very important exam and my coordinator asked me to make a research as regards the PhD and  MA dissertations written in Romania, Canada and Italy.

 

For the time being I found out only that in Romania this subject wasn't treated much.

I must find out now some names of those who wrote PhD and M.A dissertations on Italian-Canadian writers. And also the titles of their projects.

Does a database about this exist?

Or if someone has this info...maybe you can give me at least 5 or 6 suggestions.

 

In Romania there are no books about your communbity in libraries so I had to appeal to several writers and I also used amazon.com and alibris.
