Description

A few people have asked for the written directions for the napkin frames and I am happy to accommodate

SUPPLIES

Unfinished wood frame (I get mine for $1 at Michaels)
Clear Beeswax (either natural or white)
Brush for wax
Melting Pot with Project Pan
decorative napkins
Hot Wax Stylus Tool
Heat Gun
Optional Embellishments and colored cubes of beeswax

1.Melt Wax in the project pan inserted into a clean melting pot. Turn heat to highest. Once melted, turn heat down to approx 260. Keep covered when not using

2.Using the heat gun, wand it over the wood frame to make the surface warm before beginning. Wax likes a pre-heated surface

3. Brush wax onto frame in nice slow strokes. Start with a little as we will be building up.

4. After the first layer of wax has covered the frame use heat gun to wand over the surface LIGHTLY to fuse the wax to the wood. DO NOT OVERHEAT THE WAX to where it starts moving around.

5. Bush on 2nd coat of wax, fuse again and so on 3 times.

6. Lay decorative napkin on warm wax surface, pattern side of napkin facing you.

7. Turn on the hot wax stylus tool using the spade (look like a mini iron) tip. Press the hot tip to the napkin and watch the wax seep through.

8. GO NICE AND SLOWLY. pressing the tip and watching the wax seep through. Do NOT use a back & forth ironing motion..this gets you nowhere...just press and wait.

9. When the entire napkin has adhered cut & trim to fit as you like.

10. Turn stylus off to cool. Now we can unscrew the spade tip and inert the pointed Calligraphy tip.

11. Place pointed tip in a cube of colored wax. It will suck up the wax. You can outline your designs with colored wax using this tip.

12 Add optional embellishments .
