The Holds under Arolos Weyr Protectorate are slowly recovering from the famine and the horrible raiding by an insidious group known as the Tunnelsnakes. Some holds like Forest Edge Hold have made a wonderful recovery. Of course after that hold had fallen to ruin under the former Lord Holder Lord Nikolai, Fedor a nephew of that incompetent holder came down from the North to help out Lady Staisa-- Lord Nikolai's daughter-- and he brought with him an extraordinary amount of help.

Lord Holder Fedor rebuilt Forest Edge Hold into a fine holding and his hold was one of the few that defeated the Tunnelsnake Raiders assaults.

Redstars have infiltrated many of the Holdings- offering their help- but at what price? Only time will tell.

Several smaller holds are in need of outside help or they will simply be absorbed by the larger holds around them. Again, only time will tell if they'll survive and if the survive will they retain their self-sufficiency?
