Following the lead of our sister groups across the country, Freecycle (TM) of Arkansas City, Kansas has created an innovative project that harnesses the power of e-mail to connect people with things they want to throw away with others who would like to have those things. That way it doesn't wind up in the garbage.

The basic rule: Every item posted must be free.

Please look at what you have, and post an "OFFER" before you post a "WANTED." It is better to get RID OF than it is to GET.

Please don't use NEEDED, PENDING, FREE, PROMISED

Otherwise, please realise we will not allow postings for guns, unused prescriptions, or any p0rn, etc. Nor can we allow postings for fundraisers for money. If you are "wanting" something for a charity white elephant auction, or things to donate please contact the moderator prior to posting and get their approval. We don't do job postings, or allow posts for MLMs.

The concept has found an eager audience elsewhere in the country, and we're hoping that Arkansas City won't be any different.

So many are in need, some of things, some of space things are taking up!
