This list is for transporters and animal rescuers
across the nation that want to volunteer their help
for the hundreds of thousands of helpless animals
in need to get to their foster or forever homes.

Transporting Protocol



If you are posting a transport to the Animal Transporters group, please adhere to the following group rules:

Rescue Policies must require Home, Vet, and Reference Checks prior to adoption - and NO unaltered animals will be transported to an Adoptive home without verifiable Medical Reason.

If the dog/cat is going from a shelter to a rescue group name of rescue group, contact person, email address must be listed.

* UTD on vaccinations for their age.
* Vetted & Healthy (no coughing, sneezing, runny eyes or nose, skin
conditions, or contagious disease).
* Spayed/Neutered, if going to forever home.
* Parasite/Flea & Tick Free.
* Leashed while walking at rest stops.
* Animals must travel with a minimum of: Up to date
veterinary/vaccination records, and original rabies certificate.
NOTE: Health certificates are required for travel through and
into some states, so please check regulations prior to

* Collars/Harnesses and Leashes must be provided.
* It is recommended, that uncrated animals be seat belt harnessed
or tethered during transport
