PURPOSE
This group is dedicated to the decyphering, analysis and multidisciplinary discussion of the newly published and somewhat mysterious Dacian Royal Archive on lead plates.

METHOD
We can only comment on documented material, published in a printed form. We use the scientific method, complete with clearly stated purpose, clean and independent data, well articulated hypotheses, complete methodology and undisputable results.

AIM
The aim of this Group is finding truth concerning ancient Eastern European history in the time of Dacians and immediately before them, wherever this is possible.

DECLARATION OF BIAS
We're amateurs. Yet we don't feel "career fear". We work systematically on linguistical analyses, extant archaeological material and the wealth of mysterious inscriptions, myths, folklore and traditional studies centered on the Lower Danube.

PRE-INDO-EUROPEAN
Etymologies are notoriously difficult to document in living languages. When we attempt to solve the quiz of ancient languages the task may seem impossible. However, with a great deal of bold digs in the immense material available in Old European Studies, and linguistics, the challenge is taken.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY STUDIES
As in other bridging studies, whenever a magnifying glass belonging to a specific subdomain yields results which are not compatible with such material obtained from other subdomains, these results are put on hold. Advances are made especially in the fields where results converge. This is where our studies are concentrated - unification and convergence of independent, ideally pure data.

LANGUAGES
At this time only Romanian and English are available. As soon as Yahoo Groups will upgrade to the Unicode standard, we'll accept contributions in other languages.

MEMBERSHIP
Invitation only. A genuine interest in the subject matter must be matched by a proven track record of publications in this area. Dan Romalo and Dr Aurora Petan could therefore claim membership.
