Upcoming calendar upgrade: Yahoo! Groups calendars are being upgraded to a much improved version. You may not have access to the calendar (for up to 24 hours) when this group is upgraded. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
Description
Personal journal. Source of Foreign Language, Composer & Artist studies, math & science adventures, phonics & reading lessons (in the rough - but working towards the richness of CM) & more, developed for our family as we enjoy the guidance of Ambleside Online (though this is not an official AO list), Charlotte Mason's ed'l philosophy, & direction from LivingMathForum.
Lessons for this read only group include A Guide to Medieval Music Online, Brahms Online, "Children's Classics" (compositions written for children), "A Guide to Spanish on the Internet" & more. The database is being built as a sort of Table of Contents by subject (for older posts). You can find some crockpot breakfast recipes in the database. To find them, click on Rainey May's Kitchen!
Some posts address homeschooling students with non-verbal learning disability. The Database File which addresses NLD directly is a guide to non academic training. Academic learning theory as it applies to NLD can be seen in posts regarding math, science, language arts, Charlotte Mason philosophy and etc. And now, there should be posts coming to address rediating our potentially fully 'treated' NLDer.
You are invited to amble through the archives & files as they are built. Enjoy a cup of tea and put on some Medieval Music as you meander through our past and present. Feel free to join in as we take joy in today and prepare for the future.
Welcome to the somewhat Ambleside related Lore from the Folks at Lorraine's Five Acre Woods.
