This group will focus on discussion, both scholarly and informal, related to the Amazons referenced in Greek Mythology. We will be working from a basis of investigating and providing evidence through a survey of physical evidence, both obvious and obscure. With dedicated effort there will be a way to provide the historic Amazons with their rightful place in human history. Their demise coincides with the demise of the earlier Goddess Religions and it is in this framework and representation that we will find our evidence. Involved in the discussions will be references to geography, mythology, archaeomythology, Dr. Gimbutas, archaeology, history, geology and linguistics.
