This group is for builders of live steam locomotives using castings provided by Allen Models, Inc. Gene Allen supplies plans, castings and materials for six locomotives in two different scales: Chloe 0-4-2, Fitchberg Northern 2-6-0 (both 2½" scale narrow gauge), American 4-4-0, Mogul 2-6-0, Ten Wheeler 4-6-0, and Consolidation 2-8-0 (1½" scale). All locomotives can be built for either 7¼" or 7½" track gauge. Discussion of problems, offering of solutions, tips on machining, and other things of interest to builders is encouraged.

The photo to the right is the late Milon Thorley, who passed away June 11, 2009, at the controls of Gene Allen's prototype Consolidation. Milon purchased the Consolidation from Gene about three years ago.
