Welcome New Mexico Radical Unschoolers! We are a social support group for families who are joyfully whole life learning.

The purpose of this yahoo group is as a communication network in support of our local unschooling community. As such, our policy requires that prospective members come to an event and meet us before joining the online group.

If you attempt to advertise, send spam or promote a religious agenda then we will tickle you while you drink milk thus making you snort milk out your nose. We expect subscribers to be respectful not only of the others on the list, but the entire world population. We reserve the right to pull subscriptions of those who are not, but we will have great angst about it and talk about it at park day endlessly before we work up the nerve.

We like to talk about what we consider to be the best of real life. We also like to actually live the best in life when we are not sitting around talking about it. We respect children as whole human beings NOW with no need to wait until they're adults to honor their desires about the direction in which they want to steer their lives. We focus on facilitating our children's growth and helping them find information and answers that are relevant and meaningful to them while providing stimulating environments to explore and learn. We watch our children learn and grow joyfully, by being part of the real world every day. It all ends up looking like a lot of people playing and enjoying life.

We create and participate in numerous activities each month in the greater Albuquerque area.

OUR MAIN GOAL is to foster local friendships with like-minded radical unschoolers. We could throw out a bunch of other labels like whole life learners, life long learners, natural learners, respectful parents, joy seekers,freedom and autonomy seekers, people living by principles, people living without fear, non-coercive parents,and non-control freaks...but we won't.
