New set of plans for a new Eagle-Solo trike is finished. The trike is
completely redesigned using my (and my customers') experience in
building and flying Eagle trikes. Now it is more compact, light, even
simpler and easier to build. Can be built on big tires. The same
light aluminum, bolt on assembled structure, rigid triangle
suspension with 4 shock-absorbers, solid motormount, low center of
gravity – all positive features from old Eagle trike are still there.
Other 2 variants (universal and 2-placer for autoconverted engines)
will be redesigned soon. As before, I sell plans through E-bay (item
number: 250334962458) and directly.

I know at least 3 bastards selling illegal, old, not complete and not
updated copies of Eagle plans through Internet.  Be careful buying
from them. My builder's support is free as before, many parts are
available from Air Trikes Ent. but I don't support builders playing
with pirated plans. Ask me if you have questions

DEFINITION:

Yes I have contacted Abid and Larry, their rates are 125 per hour at 20
hours minimum, which is understandable due to the expensive trikes they have, 
but
it is as much as double of some of the 103 instructors who use less
expensive bikes. Also they prefer to teach Sport pilot which I plan on doing 
later.
Right now I want to train under part 103.

Hi Ike,

Have you considered buying an inexpensive, used factory trike such as a Sabre
trike?

You might want to take a look at trikes for sale on: www.barnstormers.com, then
click on the "Browse Ads" button.  Next click on the blue "Trike" link.  There
are a couple of trikes on there for under $4,000 for a flying trike.  You could
easily spend more than that on building your own trike.

If you decide to purchase an inexpensive trike, I hope you seek and receive the
advice of an experienced trike pilot BEFORE you purchase.

I don't have any info on plans.  Good luck.

As far as my view point on the Navaho, I don't think you can find a better
trike for

The money. I have been a private pilot for about 20 years now and only
started looking

At trikes about 2 years ago. I met a super fellow by the name of T.C.Blythe
in Cleveland

Tennesee that gave me my first ride in a trike and then started me on the
process

Of understanding trikes.  The set up time afterInitially getting familiar
with the trike is

around 20 minutes. Take down time is even less.The trike itself flys great.
I have a

  Rotax 503 twin carb set up with a 17.5 meter strutted Northwing Impulse
wing.

  Very easy to land and very easy to set down over the tops of Trees,

  if you have a shot strip. I would be glad to send you some picks of my
trikes or

  I would be glad to post them here if that is allowed and I can figure how
to do it.

hello folks
I am a 47 year old louisiana man. I have been wanting to fly ever
since probally around 14 years old. Getting married around 19 years old
put the brakes on getting my piolets liscene. Way too much money spent
on rasing a family. I was a jet engine machanic in the usaf air force
for eight years. I got out of the air force to take up farming but that
never happened. So i have been for the last twenty years working for
the us postal sercice. For the last few months I got the flying bug
again and it won't go away. Will Probally just lurk in this group till
I actually start saving money to get a trike.

Hey it is all about bullsh%tting my way on the web. I use a simple
Fujifilm A310 snapper (which once hit the tarmac as I landed on a
road near the coast), and do most of the pics blindly - press the
button without looking at the viewfinder. Once at home I see what I
got! The Fuji has a terrible timelag, so I don't alway get what I
wanted. Then I get home, download the GPS track to Google, Copy it
to Adobe Photoshop, select the "Yellow" Color Range, and past this
over a map, with a bit of shadow. The Pictures and the final log is
edited with Adobe Photoshop, and the website maintained with
Dreamweaver. The domain and website I got throu GoDaddy.com at
around $100 a year. I do the logs otherwise wonderful experiences
get lost - now I can go back and I remembere every flight as if it
was yesterday.

Anyone visiting Cape Town is welcome to visit me & we will do some
flights.

I see I get visitors from as far afield as Yemen and well, uhm, Cape
Town and like to know what other's thinh of the site.

I’ve always cherished your posts. I drool over the fancy
camera/technology/video/graphs/flight logs you provide.  Can you tell a
fellow triker the soft and hardware you use to do all this?  Keep it up!

I fly a 503 Peg out of Osceola, Wisconsin, USA. My longest cross country was
1200 miles last year to and from our biggest airshow in Oshkosh, Wisconsin,
the Airventure. I’ve got about 300 hours on my trike and it still purrs like
a kitty……(a thirsty kitty).

Hello !

      If somebody on this list  flew a RAVEN wing, please tell me
if my wing is in a good shape, because I bought it with a flat
airfoil (this wing has no pitch angle at trailing edge) and I feel
it very unstable.  I can move the control bar in any direction
without response from the wing and there is no trim speed !!! I
made a picture so you can take a look at the bottom area on

hi to everyone, first time to join your group. i would like to know if i can use
motorcycle engine in replacement of rotax engines. how many cc would i put in
order to fly my trike. can i use 250cc engine or much higer ? rotax engines are
not available in the Philippines. how many cc would it take to attain 40hp? i
read in some articles that they use subaru, suzuki geo engines. your reply would
be a big help. thanks and more triking power......
