This list is for those who use any of the numerous commercially available clays or for those homemade dough and salt clay fans. Experienced clayers and newbies alike are all welcome.

Some of the commercial air-hardening clays include Creative Paperclay, Celluclay, DAS Pronto, LYRA Keramiplast, Bond Kelly Clay, Kneado, Rosy-Clay, Crayola Model Magic, Sculptamold, Marblex, La Doll, FormoFit, Deko Vorm, Hearty and Deco, among others. Even children's self-hardening craft clays are represented on this discussion list, like Play-doh, ActivDough, SuperDough, etc. Links to the manufacturer's sites and tutorials/projects using each brand can be found in our archives.

For the homemade crowd there are recipes in our archives for dough clay, salt clay, sawdust clay, dryer lint clay, and edible clays, too! If you have a favorite clay you'd like to share, we'd love to know about it!

Recipes for various air-drying clays and doughs, what to paint or tint them with(and how to make them), tips on finishing and other ideas for how to use these air drying clays that do not have to be baked in a kitchen oven or kiln-fired are all welcome. We'd love to see your projects, too!
