Eventually we're going to host a special KIND OF CONTRA-DANCE ! ! !;
1). It will be in the AFTERNOON, for those whose schedules, family commitments, or lifestyles have been making us miss their presence at evening dances.

2). To enable Contra-dance communities to continue to grow, folks in more isolated areas to still have the delight in their life of Contra-dancing, -- for those of us who enjoy introducing new influences/styles of music into the Contra-dancing reperetoire:
We'll be dancing to favorite recorded songs, anything from favorite Contra-bands: Wild Asparagus similar music: 'Jack Haggerty(Touchstone); Classic favorites('Cecilia'[Simon&Garfunkel], The Beatles, etc); Traditional Modern/Pop World Dance music(Klezmer, Mexican, Japanese-Australian-Bush-Funk[Anyone see that Jackie Chan movie where he was dropped into the Australian Bush...?), maybe even an occasional segment of Ecstatic Triumphant Classical Music!

!!! We're LOOKING FOR CALLERS WHO are comfortable calling to Recorded traditional music, --AND-- CALLERS who are up to the challenge of arranging dances to alternative music!!!!

~ For those not familiar with Contra-dancing, its like BARN-DANCING square dancing --dancing up down lines. Contra-dancing is SUBSTANCE FREE.
