This group is dedicated to African American, and slave ancestry research. We have various slave records, plantation records listing names of slaves from Marengo County and surrounding counties in Alabama. This group holds lectures in African American genealogy research and studies quarterly at the Birmingham Library, Linn-Henley Research Bldg. Please email for lecture dates and times.
