This is the main discussion and announcement yahoogroups list for the Empire of Adria, a national 501c3 educational organization dedicated to recreating the skills and activities of the middle ages and renaissance.

We invite you to join us here if you are curious about our group, thinking of becoming a member, or if you are already a member in one of our many chapters across the United States.

People in the Empire of Adria study all aspects of historical relevance via re-creating the skills and activities in workshops, campouts, feasts, competitions, demonstrations, and other gatherings.

Some examples of our activities are combat, cooking, archery, costuming, dance, animal husbandry, music, and many arts and sciences. Adria is one of the very few historical recreation groups that engages in competitive (not choreographed) live steel combat!

Feel free to post questions, discussion topics, ideas, barter trades and carpools, or even chat!
