This is a group for anyone who is considering, paperchasing or has adopted a child with limb differences. We know it is not easy to find support groups out there so after discussing this with some other parents, I decided during my adoption process for our son, Sean to create a group for parents to help each other. Our son Sean has been home now for 3 years and he still amazes us every day with the things he can do like play basketball and earn his red/brown belt in karate.
We ask that no one flame each other as there are many different opinions on prosthetic devices and it is a very personal decision. Also remember none of us are orthopedic surgeons so we should always state "In my experience.."
We really do need for members to be active to make this yahoo group work. Whether it is asking questions, providing support or advocating for a child that has a limb difference. We allow adoption agencies to join so they can post about kids they need to find families for and they are truly respectful to our members on this list.
