This list was started for those adoptees who were not blessed to be placed in good homes and need a safe place to be able to discuss their experiences without being criticized by others. This can be for adoptees who are still searching for their birth families, have already found, or adoptees who are not searching.

Although the list owner was blessed by a wonderful and loving adoptive home, she had many friends from other lists who were not as lucky and recognized that they too need a place just for them to safely share their feelings. The list owner will be very strict in warning ANYONE who joins this list and criticizes another member for their feelings about their family in a way that is hurtful or defamitory. If warnings do not suffice to cease any abuse or flames, then that subscriber will be banned.

This list is for anyone who is an adoptee who was not placed in a loving home, or anyone who is a friend of an adoptee who was in such a situation and wants to genuinely learn how to be more empathetic to that friend.

To anyone who wants to join this list to cull e-mail addresses for advertising, do not bother to join this list.

So for those of you who needed this place, this list belongs to you. I made it for you, and together we will decide what rules will need to be made as we go on. Currently the only thing that is respectfully asked to not be included in e-mails is "preachy" religious sentiments. Since we all come from different experiences, we need to respect each others' personal views and keep the religious tones fairly nuetral. i.e., no instructing people to turn their lives over to God, etc. It was decided by the first members of the list that they would prefer NOT to have
religious sentiment expressed on the list, so please be sure to respect their own personal feelings as well. The only rule is that each list member respects each others experiences and does not flame anyone for their opinions.
