Howdy all,
I have decided to sell my Sibley stove.Im going to be moving soon and I
rarely use it sooooooo.I made it myself. I got the diamentions from an
origional. Its welded together rather than rivited. It looks and works great.I
also have the stove pipe for it as well that will go along with it. I installed
a damper in the lower portion to controll the burn rate (if youve ever used one
youll know that if they generate a LOT of heat and they can even get cherry red
if it is stoked with enough wood) The damper takes care of this. The top portion
of pipe is double wall pipe, obviously they didnt come with double wall pipe but
it is a safety measyre seeing as the pipe come in extremely close proximity to
the canvas. These are safety measures but seeing as the pipe is slips onto the
top of the stove it can be easliy changed if you care to.
I will be at Queen Creek this Friday thru Sunday for the American Heritage
Festival at Schnef Farms(sp?). I will bring it along incase anyone is
interested. My cell number is 520-591-0526.I will check it thru out the day and
will call back asap. I will be camped in the Federal camp with the 3rd US
artillery. Feel free to stop by or call if your interested. If needed I can meet
you after the event if you are not attending it.

Our reenacting unit is recruiting persons in Colorado interested in portraying all aspects of the American Civil War. We are looking for persons wishing to portray Union or Confederate Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, Medical or civillians. Our unit has a 3" Ordnance gun and is in need of crew members. We participate in at least two events in New Mexico, and organize one event in Colorado at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park near Canon City. We also try to travel to at least one other Civil War living history in an additional state. All are welcome to join our organization. If you are interested, please contact me at generalripper_1999@... . I look forward to you joining our unit.
Hi everyone,
Just a reminder about these. I really did need the Pre-Reg Forms today so I can
order the T-Shirts and such on time.
At any rate, please do not forget you can:
1) Snail Mail them to me
2) Scan the filled out form and Email me the PDF or JPEG
3) Just type in the info into an Email to jayce921 at yahoo dot com
4) Zip it in a Facebook message to me
5) Sign up on the Facebook event page for SMR - but please message me your
information still as I do not know everyone by name.
If you can get the info to me by the 15th the US, CS, and Civilian Coordinators
from the ACWS and I can complete our space use planning.
We will accept walk-ons but your names will not get into the raffles.
Thanks!

With all due respect Silas the NPS- Civil war Soldiers and Sailors System, is by
no means a complete listing of those that served. And if the soldier was born in
1846, it is quite possible that he was a veteran of both. However the VA
guidlines are specific in regards to issueing headstones, if the grave is
already marked with a headstone, the veteran is not eligeable for a VA stone.

Hello and thank you for looking. I am planning to publish a new magazine called
International Reenactor. This magazine will be a multi-impression bi-monthy hard
copy magazine with a extensive and comprehensive website to provide electronic
media.
I want to do it right. I want to make sure the needs of the reenacting community
are met and that this magazine becomes a useful and interesting tool for our
hobby.
The purpose of this group is:
Market reseach: Various polls will be listed seeking input
Brain storming: What ideas do any of you have that you would like to see.
Networking: Do you have writing, photography, or video skills that we could use.
If so, paid freelance reporting opportunities will be available.
At this point we are looking at both a hard copy slick magazine format (think
any of the fan type mags)and a comprehensive website with lots of new media,
information, interviews, videos, games, raw footage and photos, un-edited story
copy and so on.
Houses are being mortgaged as we speak. Your input will be very valuable in
making sure this publication is all that you and we want it to be.
Please subscribe to the group at this address and feel free to start thinking
out loud.
Internationalreenactor-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Thank you in advance for you help and support as we take these first and
exciting steps.

Hello,
Wouldn't this man more accurately be an Indian Wars veteran? I'm Also assuming that all legal details for exhumation have been properly attended to before digging and removal? Disturbing human remains is a controlled activity in every state that I know of. If all legal details for doing an exhumation have been taken care of, then this is a
very significant event.
The death certificate for Jacob YOUTCY, 80 yrs. old, b. PA, died in Pinal County, AZ 10/5/1926 and buried in KELVIN, AZ on 10/6/1926--is online at: genealogy.az.gov.
No listing for him on the NPS- Civil war Soldiers and Sailors website.

Took me a while to figure out why the CC was not getting through to davrob45@hotmail. com like in the text of the original message, turns out that the correct e-mail address for this David Robertson, as in the original HEADER, is davrob45@yahoo. com.
So hopefully I will have an answer on who they contacted to do this move.

Unfortunately I know exactly as much as you do on that point, so I am
copying this to the original sender so we can hopefully verify that all the
proper steps were taken. I would be ecstatic to here that not only were all
the steps followed and proper authorization received, but that a VA issued
headstone was in the works (or already here) to properly mark the new grave.

I just heard on the news this morning that the Gilbert Days Parade has been
saved for this year. Route is apparently half what it was previously, and
now they are scrambling for entries, according to the news they only had one
so far.
Chad (or anyone else who knows who to contact) could you please pass this on
to the Military Vehicles Collectors Club?
Anyone who has the Guyton's E-mail address handy please let them know.
Applications should be online at www.gilbertpromotionalcorp.org and are due
Oct 10th, with the Parade itself on Nov 14th.

Here is the URL to the Civil War Battle reenactment at the Royal Gorge Bridge and park a couple weeks ago. We need more Confederate troops from Colorado. All the Yanks came from New Mexico. Many thanks to the New Mexico unit of reenactors who traveled to Colorado for this event. I hope to see you all at the event next year.
PS The "Fuel Bounty" of 1/2 the fuel costs to those traveling over 100 miles will probably be in effect next year. If you want to be kept informed on future events, shoot me an email.
Kit Carson's 200th birthday is going to be celebrated in Taos, NM on Saturday, September 5, 2009, with a parade followed by a barbeque. The organisers are particularly interested in getting more 'reenactors' to participate in the parade. The information is posted on the Kit Carson Home Museum's website at http://www.kitcarsonhome.com/kc/anniversary.html

Our unit is "recruiting" persons to portray Union, Confederate, civillian participants in the American Civil War. There aren't many people who do it here in Colorado so we are attempting to organize events and grow the hobby here. This is a family oriented organization so drinking is not allowed during reenacting. We are looking for people interested in Field Artillery (we have three pieces: 3 inch ordnance, 12 pound pounder, and mountain howitzer), infantry, cavalry, medical, and any other area of the American Civil War Union or Confederate. For additional information, contact me at generalripper_1999@... about the organization. I look forward to hearing from you.
