ATM Study is a private email support group for student midwives who have chosen to accelerate their path into midwifery by enrolling in the Association of Texas Midwives Midwifery Training Program (ATMMTP) as their formal route of study. The ATMMTP is a state accredited at-a-distance learning program that is geared towards preparing its students for the NARM exam and Texas licensure. It consists of both clinical and didactic requirements. This forum is for ATMMTP students to discuss interesting case studies, ask questions, get questions answered, and hopefully will help students get to know each other. Additionally, students may obtain current course forms from the group files section.
The ATMMTP and a clinical apprenticeship can be overwhelming at times. Students need a support system that can enable them to get questions answered by those who know what you are going through. This group is only for students currently enrolled in the course and those who have graduated within the past year. Preceptors and other midwives are not permitted to enroll in this email group. Once you are enrolled in the group please send in an email and introduce yourself to your fellow students.
