This group, the general discussion listserv of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN), is designed to facilitate discussion among individuals on the autism spectrum about anything related to being on the autism spectrum. Our purpose is to discuss how to live independently and successfully as people on the autism spectrum in today's society.

ASAN is run by and for autistics and thus believes in the autism spectrum as a legitimate, natural and permanent part of human genetic diversity. We are committed to working towards educational and societal inclusion, respect and tolerance for neurological diversity and a better future for all individuals on the autism spectrum. We are open to all communicating autistics. For membership purposes, just indicate that you are on the autism spectrum and feel free to tell us anything about yourself that you'd like to share!
