Description

Welcome to the Yahoo! Group ARES, started by me, KC8AHN, Steve. We are here to promote the use of Amateur Radio, and hopefully make it interesting for the people who'd love to get their license, but the whole aspect just seems too boring to them!

Amateur Radio's main use (besides talking to other "Hams" when we're bored, or lost) is for emergency communications in times of distress. When there is Severe Weather, we're the first one's running out to see what's happening and how much fun we can have while it's going on!! This is our life, and we LOVE IT!! So come join in conversation with us, and we'll all have a good ol' time! :-)
