This list is for parents who practice attachment parenting and work outside of the home. The principles of attachment parenting encourage a close-knit relationship between mother and child that is often difficult to foster when mom works outside of the home. As working mothers and attachment parents, we often face unique challenges. One foot in the mainstream world and one foot in the world of AP. Our mainstream bosses and co-workers often don't understand why we make parenting so "difficult" and encourage weaning and convenience parenting. Our SAH counterparts often don't understand how we could possibly work. Usually it isn't a choice. This list is to provide support for those of us who breastfeed, wear our babies, family bed, don't allow our children to "cry it out", and make educated decisions about our children's health, while at the same time holding down a job or going to school. Other topics that may be discussed include vaccinations, cloth diapering, nutrition, and circumcision. Of course, off-topic discussions are always welcomed. Please, no flaming.
