The API of Central Iowa group provides support for families practicing attachment parenting and is coordinated by the central Iowa chapter of Attachment Parenting International (www.attachmentparenting.org).

Members of this group can post ideas, questions, advice or concerns related to any aspect of API's Eight Principles of Attachment Parenting:

Prepare for Pregnancy, Birth, and Parenting
Feed with Love and Respect
Respond with Sensitivity
Use Nurturing Touch
Engage in Nighttime Parenting
Provide Consistent and Loving Care
Practice Positive Discipline
Seek Balance in Personal and Family Life

This group is open to parents or caregivers with children of any age.

Membership in API is not required to join this group, but it is encouraged. If you wish to join API of Central Iowa, please contact the group moderator (laurabelin AT yahoo.com). Of your $35 annual membership, $15 stays with the local chapter and $20 goes to API headquarters, where staff promote attachment parenting across the United States and around the world.
