This group is for compiling AO/HEO Composer Study, beginning with 2010/2011 Term 1. It will include links and files to sites and downloads for Composer Study as it pertains to the schedule at Ambleside Online.

I absolutely agree with the assessment that Bartok approached his piano compositions from a very percussive style. I LOVE this about him. It is a joy to play

I think Bartok's music sounds "different" in part because he is a 20th century composer and moving away from traditional tonalities and developing a different
