This is the description from the original Artists' Journals group:

"The ArtistsJournals list serves as a discussion, resource, idea-sharing community for artists who utilize journaling -- visual or written -- as part of their creative process. This allows for discussion of a variety of medium and ideas. Off topic posting is requested to be kept minimal. The journals can be any form -- idea zones, sketchbooks, formal explorations, text entries, list keeping... Hopefully, there will be the sharing and exchange of journal pages/entries."

We discuss the techniques and materials related to keeping artists' journals. "Journals" mean our personal records of the creative process--and sometimes our life stories--in a diary or sketchbook-type format.

AJ2 and its sister community, ArtistsJournals, are moderated by Aisling D'Art, following in the tradition of L.K. Ludwig who inspired it. Thanks also to Red Dog Scott for her work as moderator.
