AHOP is an informal community of Christians in the city of Austin, praying together towards reconciliation, and working to facilitate followers of Jesus uniting for 24/7 prayer. (See http://www.austinhouseofprayer.com for more information about AHOP.)

The purpose of this Yahoo Group is two-fold. The primary purpose is internal communication in the community -- so that we can get the word out about the location of community dinners, time location of upcoming events, prayer requests specific to the mission of the community, encouraging words, and the like. The second purpose is to provide a way for those curious about the community to be a "fly on the wall" and read the community's email communications.

We request of those who join to not send mass emails indiscriminately to the group. Before sending, make sure the message directly (not indirectly) relates to the AHOP Community or a member of the AHOP Community. If it doesn't pass this test, just send it to select people in your email list that you think might benefit from the email.
