The American Civil Liberties Union of Northeast Florida, aka Greater Jacksonville Chapter, includes the counties of Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, and St. John's. We are a non-partisan, non-profit, chapter of a national network of affiliate offices, neither liberal nor conservative, who handle civil liberties issues -- issue by issue. We participate in an extensive range of programs designed to inform the public about civil liberties and the work of the ACLU. The ACLU works to keep the spirit of the Bill of Rights alive. We seek to protect the individual rights some people may take for granted: Free speech, freedom of expression, privacy, equality, and religious freedom. We seek to protect those and other rights regardless of whose rights are in jeopardy. The ACLU also works to extend rights to those segments of our population that traditionally have been denied their rights, including Native Americans and other racial minorities, women, mental patients, prisoners, people with disabilities, lesbians, gay men, and others. The ACLU is supported by membership contributions and tax-deductible donations from private foundations and individuals. Your involvement makes a difference and is greatly appreciated. Our telephone is (904) 391-1884. Our mailing address is: ACLU of Northeast Florida / P.O. Box 5331 / Jacksonville, FL 32247
