This is an electronic grapevine for people interested in rare birds in North-east Scotland.
Posting policy: this list is for giving out and requesting information about rare and scarce birds in North-east Scotland (Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City). Postings are mainly details of rare and scarce bird sightings in the region, but will also include other information relevant to local keen birders, such as local conservation matters, forthcoming meetings, birding equipment for sale, requests for information, requests for help on birding or conservation matters, but please respect other users and avoid sending repeat postings of this type. Information about exceptionally rare insect, mammal sightings are of interest too. Please ensure that the subject line of your message reflects the subject of your posting.
Above all, this is not a discussion forum and all postings have to be relevant to North-east Scotland. This means that postings may not be used to provoke discussion or respond to discussion on this list or antagonise or defame other persons whether members of this list or not.
People who abuse this list may have their membership cancelled, potentially without warning. If you are unsure about whether a posting is appropriate for this list, please ask the moderator first.
This is a restricted group simply to deny access to spammers. Everyone with a genuine interest in rare birds in North East Scotland is very welcome to join this group, and applications will be dealt with as swiftly as possible.
