First are you sure the problem lies in the spindle itself rather than the fit of the chuck backplate to the spindle. Check first the spindle for concentricity...
I think that might do it. I'll grind the top of the blade down a bit to lower it. The tool is sitting on the post directly with no shims...so can't lower it....
if i had a 9x20 lathe i could turn it true the spindle is 19 inches long or i would just turn me a new one for the hell of it as i don't need a hollow...
