Just wanted to shar a picture of my Z axis DRO I made from a HF digital
caliper. I was able to get over 7" from the caliper and use the full z axis
of the mill by removing the two little screws and stops from the end of the
caliper. The thing seems to work great. And thanks to Dave Mucha for
suggesting I make clamps to hold the caliper instead of
grinding/drilling/whatever on the jaws. This turned out to be much easier.
