We will be having our Adv. DMX Networking/Internet Protocols class on
Saturday, July 25.
With lighting consoles becoming more advanced and controlling
thousands of channels, many consoles (such as Hog III, EOS, GrandMA)
are relying on Ethernet protocols for transmitting the information
required to operate dimmers, moving lights and other DMX devices. This
information is quickly becoming essential knowledge for anyone working
with the lighting control system. We will be covering MAC IDs, IP
Addresses, bridges, routers, hubs, nodes, and networking test
equipment. We will also have a hands-on workshop with RJ-45 connectors.
The Advanced DMX Class will cover wireless DMX, DMX Diagnostic Tools,
complex networking issues and troubleshooting the DMX Network. This
class is almost entirely hands-on as we will assemble a complex
network using the knowledge from the Ethernet Protocols class.
