Hello All, I have recently entered the magic world. For my HF operations, I have used HF propagation programs such as the W6EL and HF Prop. Is there...
Dan, KO1D, OK, I will do that. I could line up my keys and alternate sending CQ. I have my new antenna pointed at you, Dan. Can you hear me now ?? hi hi ...

Well, I finally stuck the 6-meter Cushcraft 3-element Yagi antenna up. The not-so-good part is that even though I *pre-tuned* the antenna (according to the...
Erik If you set the gamma match at the factory settings and you are at 59 mhz. I would check the element spacing and lengths and verify that your coax is cut...
Not necessary to cut coax to 1/4 wave lengths. Do use top quality coax.
I prefer Belden 8214. If you cut the coax and the SWR changes, the antenna
is not set...
I hope no one takes this as flaming, but I have to vet a bit here. During the last contest, there was a station calling CQ from a grid I still need for VUCC,...
Thanks for the replies. I am using about 70 ft of Belden RG-8/U, the solid dielectric stuff. I set the element spacing/lengths on my garage floor and triple...
if you will take the antenna and stand it on the boom with the reflector toward the ground on a box or something a foot or so off the ground you can check...
Hi, Nancy, and everyone else, Greetings from another YL in "8" land who enjoys 6m. ... January or so was far from the best time of year for 6m activity other...
Well, I was able to get up there and tilt the 10 ft mast over (that's the way I designed it) to get to the gamma match. I had to move the shorting clamp well...

Yes indeed the antenna makes all the difference in the world. Not to belittle anyone but with the low gain antennas such as dipoles, loops, HF antennas, you...
Hi, Dennis, and everyone else, ... I have the same antenna. ... Agreed, but what about the other 320 days a year???? That's my point. Most people who give up...
