Hi Everyone

I thought it would be good for everyone to know some things about me. First
in 1985 my father took me to the Virginia Beach Amateur radio
classes to learn CW and everything else to get a novice License.
Well I fail it so bad and did not get the five word a minute. I took
the class a second year in a row,and I was really good at electronics and just
bad at code, so yes I failed it again..By this time it was 1987 and a lady name
Carol ask me do you want to learn code. Well
I was pretty discourage at this point,but she knew I played music
instruments. Now Carol was blind and she always told me to close my eyes and
listen to it like music,and I did. So I did not listen to it like dot and dashes
but as a whole.It had paterns like music and I listen for the patterns and I
caught on to it. She worked with me and in 1988 I passed my Novice License. I
then helped her walk around the Field days in VIRIGINIA Beach ,so she would not
get hurt. Now I do not even know if she alive anymore because she was up in age
then. She
was my elmer and since my head injuries I do not remember her Call sign. I help
her work the 25 word a minute CW stations and I was able
to copy at that speed because of her. Now in 1990 I took my Technition
license and passed it,but general class was not being offered. Well
I have had my license for the Past 21 years because of her help.

Now for the car wreck.

On November 2,2006

My wife had a plan to take the entire fmily out to go Christmas
Shopping. Everyone thought that was great,so we loaded up my wife,and
her parents,and other family member,and my daughter and I.

Well on the way to the store a car started to drive wrecklas and cut
accross a 4 lane free way. This car headed straight at up doing 60
mph and we were doing the same. Except the young lady should have been
across the green grass area on the other side of the freeway.
Anyways my wife had no time to stop or move ,so we were hit.
Now I never knew we were hit by this car,but I woke up in the hospital
the next day wondering what was going on. I looked around and realized
I was in an hospital. I had tubes going down my throat because a
machine was breathing for me.All my ribs had been broken and my lungs had
collapsed in the wreck. So I had tubes going in to the side of my Chest. I had
broken collar bones and a very serious head injury that
took surgery to close my head up. which I have no feeling anymore
on the left side of the top of my forhead. Well the doctors walk in
and ask do you know where you are. Well I cant;s talk because of the tube going
into me. I wrote on Paper I think I'm in a hospital. The
doctor said well you were in a very bad wreck. Then he went on to tell me my
wife was dead and the wrest of my family. At this Point I thought my daughter
was dead too. Then he said your daughter in a different hospital in ICU fighting
for her life. I was told her
stomache had been cut open by the seat belt. I was told she had to have a
seirious surgery to save her life.
Ok here is what they did to her,and I really think this has not been
done very often. They took all my daughter intestons out and laid them
on a table and went inch by inch looking for any that was damage.
They cut out the bad ones and sew up the good ones that was left.
Her bladder had been damage so it had to have work on it. By the
way her bladder still does not work right. She cannot hold her bladder
for very long without having a accident.. Also now she suffers from seizures due
to hitting her head.

After all was done which we spent a month in ICU,and I was on life support.
Anyways the medical bills came too $1,234,000.00 this
did not include the funeral cost I owed for too.
Well my home was sold off for less than fair market value and all the money went
to the hospital. Also everything inside of the home was sold off too to pay more
on this.. Anyways I was told by the Police
this had been the worst accident they had ever seen on record.

I MOVED TO Texas after loosing everything and lived near my mother
brother. Anyways we did that for 4 months and then a home came open
to rent ,so I rented it. I have been in this home since September of 2007.

Well we started with nothing and I have been blessed. I have now
furniture,food,cloths,and some luxury items like a TV, AM FM radio.
I have been able to give my daughter a life after the loss of her mother. She
still misses her mom,but she is a straight" A "student
in school.

Here is the News paper that covered the story. By the way there was one eror. My
wife mom was in the back seats. Also My wifes dad was in the passenger front
seat. Read News Paper.

I was told the engine of the car was found 300 feet away from us.
I was told by my doctor later he turned around because something inside of him
told him that he would be needed. Well the Doctor
told me I should have been dead by the first day if not that by the second day.
Well he called me his Mirracle Patient.

Anyways My daughter still goes to one of the top Childrens hospital
due to all the problems she deal with from the car wreck. They
only take the worst off children like St.Judes...

WELL that is part of what happen,and yes there is more but I do not want to over
whelm any one.
