Description

5000 in Pocatello is a self-organizing group that facilitates Constitution study groups in every neighborhood - teaching the Principles of Liberty that our Founding Fathers said must be understood and perpetuated by every people who desire peace, prosperity, and freedom!

If these Principles are to be restored to our land, it will not be done by the government; it will be done the same way it was done to begin with - by WE THE PEOPLE!

We had self-sacrificing patriots, Committees of Correspondence, families took care of each other, and we had liberty. Now we have politicians, lobbyists, bureaucrats, government schools, and apathy - now our freedoms seem to be eroding at an accelerated rate.

5000 in Pocatello helps students find a local study group to participate in and it helps local study groups find students. Join 5000 in Pocatello and help make a difference in our community! Anyone who can facilitate discussion and open their house (or arrange another location) can start a group.

* There are many places that study groups can meet: around the kitchen table, libraries, schools, churches, community rooms, cable public access studio, etc.
* There are many ways that study groups can function to accommodate different learning styles: book discussion chapter by chapter, DVD lectures, worksheets, quizzes, etc.
* There are many people that can participate: neighbors, clubs, organizations, family group w/ children's friends, home school group, etc.
* There are many ways the word can be spread: family and friends, word of mouth and email, distribute fliers around the neighborhood and at church, local media and community calendars, etc.
* There are at least two resources for Constitution study material: The National Center for Constitutional Studies http://nccs.net, The Institute On The Constitution http://iotconline.com, etc.

5000 in Pocatello members can utilize the group calendar, message board and other organizational features. Join today!
