DIL, a nonprofit, voluntary organization has succeeded, in a period of five years, at establishing 200 schools in collaboration with various NGO’s—(1) in Khairpur, Sindh, with Naz High School Old Boys Welfare Trust (NOWA), (2) in Khairpur, Sindh, with Indus Resource Center (IRC), (3) in Orangi, Sindh, with Faran Educational Society (FES), (4) in Dir, NWFP, with Khwendo Kor, (5) in Rawalpindi, Punjab, with Adult Basic Education Society (ABES), (6) in Sheikhupura district, Punjab, with Cooperation for Advancement, Rehabilitation and Education (CARE) and (7) in Pishin, Mastung and Ziarat districts of Balochistan, with Society for Community Support for primary Education in Balochistan (SCSPEB). In the Mianwali district DIL collaborated with Malik Maula Baksh Memorial Trust (MMBMT) from 1997 to 2001. All the afore-mentioned organizations are non-government and non-profit.
