Hello Chris,
Rich here. I think the best way to go
is to get a shell and rebuild it with a Prairie Flower Liner. I am doing
a shell for Christopher Reed right now and the shell was really cheap.
A WW1 British/Canadian shell differs
from the American shell in that the rivets that hold the chin strap assembly
in place on the helmet are a split rivet (vs.a peened rivit on the American
Shells. I can do all of the paint work for you. You would need to get some
oilcloth from Eric Verny in our unit and send this along to Prarie Flower
to make a liner for you. it is all very easy, I will keep a lookout for
a shell for you.
Very Best Regards,

As far as helmets go, is there any specific vendor that
anyone recommends? I've found a few places including WPG and Military History
Workshop. However, I'm unsure of both as they're refinished with Mk II
or WW2 parts?
