[ About ]
This group's primary purpose is the discussion of everyday life in Germany between 1933 and 1945. In addition, we discuss aspects of reenactment and collecting this time period. The group's main audience are students, historians, and re-enactors, but we welcome anyone interested in the subject or wanting to share information.
Our group is not about politics or famous persons, it's about the lives of average people: the boys and girls in the Hitler Youth, the young factory worker, the old grandmother tending her garden. Discussion subjects range from period fashions to living, from education to press reports, from life in the military to the difficulties of shopping in wartime. If the discussion is related to the Third Reich and does not violate the group's rules, it is probably found here.

In order to prevent spammers from using our group as a way to send advertisements and junk mail to people, we require that you apply for membership before you are able to participate in discussions. Memberships must be approved by a moderator. Please note that this is an all-ages group and we have a number of high school age members. We ask that you keep your Yahoo profiles and posts "clean".
Civilized behavior is an absolute must on this group - let's behave like adults! Things that are absolutely not tolerated on this group are the following: name calling, personal attacks, antisemitism, revisionism, spam, general rudeness, the discussion of politics of any kind (moder or period), or advertising of any kind with the exception of vendor reviews and items you are selling via the group.
We ask that you please sign all of your group posts with your name (first name is fine), as this helps avoid confusion in long threads as to who is talking to whom.
