We are slowly adding additional miniatures to our 3mm line:

We have flying dragons and dragons armed with artillery towers, werewolves,
zombies, demons and cultists with pentagrams. More are being currently sculpted.
Of course most were created for our WWWII line but should fit your 3mm fantasy
plans I think.

They are being cast right now and should be available before the end of May,

Thanks,

Piotr

If you were able to purchase WWI,RCW and Interwar miniatures in 3mm-1/600 what
would you like to see first.Tumbling Dice already makes some Infantry and
Cavalry along with a few guns. For example which tank would like to see made and
in what order?

German A7V
British Whippet
British Mk. Is and Mk.Vs
British Mk.IVs
French Saint-Chamond
French Char Schneider CA

How about armored cars? Infantry ? Cavalry? Artillery? For example,

"British infantry shooting, British heavy weapons [ie mortars and mg nests],
British artillery [any specific model / version ?]"

What do you think about something like Battle packs? Where you would get certain
miniatures from two armies so as to be able to fight a battle. Or an Army pack
where you could get a certain amount and combination/mixture of miniatures from
a particular army or for a certain year?

Hi, for that period you HAVE to make the vaunted FT-17! And an armored train or
two and some biplanes would round it out.

With the release of SA-2s, we only need some short-nose Phantoms and Mirage III C and O8 will have a fairly complete line for AIW and Vietnam War air combat!

Thanks Robert. That is along the lines of what others have stated. I totally
agree on the French aircraft need. Along with the others. I feel they should be
offered along with others. The only 1/600 WWI French aircraft I have are ones
that were made by Conflict Miniatures about 20 years ago.I found those on EBay.
There have been others in my 3mm-1/600 Aircraft Wargaming Yahoo Group that have
stated a desire for more WWI aircraft. I really appreciate the input from you
and Doug. Thanks again. Robert

HI all

Just mt 2p's woth but with Great War Spearhead not to far away on the horizon, I
think it would be a great time to think about Divisional Packs especially
infantry and Cavalry..If you started with those as well as a few MG's ..I think
the WW2 French one that is already available would do for early except for the
hat/helmet, then by adding in some artillery ( though most rules as I am sure
your aware) are off table anyway you would nearly have everything you wold need
for Early WW1 and the Balkans

Hi Michael,

We do not yet have a WWII line, but plan to expand into WWII in steps. That is
once we create masters for our Weird World War II project and its based on an
existing WWII weapon / vehicle, we will create a true WWII variant. What do you
need for your WWII games ?

Thanks,

Piotr

Of course most were created for our WWWII line but should fit your 3mm fantasy
plans I think.

I really like the OO 600 scale models but I like to game "oddball" scenarios
ex. The battle of Kafji using Saudi and Qatari kit, the Cold War using Canadain
and French Kit, etc.

Since OO has not released French and Canadian and currently has no publicly
released plans to do so, I was wondering if people were subsituting available OO
vehicles for non-available vehicles. or mod-ing OO vehicles to fit.

As examples:
I am thinking of mod-ing BRDM-2's by filing off the turrets to use as APC
version of Saudi V150.
Using USMC LAV as Canadian Grizzles, Coyotes, etc.

Any Ideas?

A good idea.

I happened to be looking at modern Finnish and Swedish army recently, and noticed the XA-180 and XA-185 series of wheeled APC looked a lot like the German Fuchs.

' What do you need for your WWII games ?'

I'm not going to recommend making duplicates of other firms offerings, but what
I'd like to see are really well-made infantry and other personnel figures. So
many of the 3mm offerings just don't seem to have the same loving attention as
given to the vehicles, IMO. They almost seem as if they're an afterthought that
HAD to be included in order to finish the line. Highly detailed figures in a
variety of poses and nationalities along with more offernigs of
fortified/entrenched positions would fill a market niche. I also think cavalry
and wagon/logistic figures would also be a great idea.

You know, I am seriously thinking to just use well decorated bases for INF
stands. INF always tried to hide,
so why not just use a stand with places to hide? For mortars and MGs I would
want something, but pure INF I am not so sure.

I started thinking this way after basing my VN INF. Its hard to see them in
their jungle, so why need the figs?

Michael,

3mm infantry is tough to make correctly. We experimented with creating a sprue
of basic not-augmented humans with current 3D printer technology.

We wanted this:

http://03mm.eu/secret/wip/ludek5.png

and got this... :(

http://03mm.eu/secret/wip/printout/DSC00024_marines.JPG

So for now we are sticking to human hand-made originals ;) for 3mm infantry even
if they are slightly out-of scale but we will persist
with 3D prints and work out a way to make them correctly even if they are mega
fragile and super hard to print correct.

Well with most of Oddzial Osmy (O8)'s infantry like for the French and Polish
being prone there is a definite need for standing and rushing/advancing troops.
Tumbling Dice's are standing though. Charging Cavalry is another need. Robert

infantry and Cavalry..If you started with those as well as a few MG's ..I think
the WW2 French one that is already available would do for early except for the
hat/helmet, then by adding in some artillery ( though most rules as I am sure
your aware) are off table anyway you would nearly have everything you wold need
for Early WW1 and the Balkans

Yes, I hear your point but...

Like the "hidden/hiding" troop comment I think that most infantry in modern
scenarios are indeed best represented by prone troops. That's where much the
combat occurs I suspect. *wink*

Heresy alert - remember at ALL scales the figure is essentially a 3D marker.

Glenn

Making German and British aircraft but not French Aircraft for WW1 essentially
leaves over 40% of the allied powers air combat effort not represented. While
the other powers produced aircraft there essentially were only 3 significant
producing nations of aircraft:
http://www.theaerodrome.com/aircraft/statistics.php

	  67,987 French
	  58,144 British
	  48,537 German - Central Power
	  20,000 Italian
15,000 American (shows my nations small WW1 aircraft production)
	  5,431 Austrian (I believe - it's 0521 on a Sunday morning) - Central Power
4,700 Russian (see Austrian comment above)

Other than helmets, what kit is likely to identify specific national non-heavy
weapons equipped troops for infantry in this scale at a practical "viewed at 3

Seriously, we sometimes get caught up in the 25/28/30 mm world of "small museum

So many of the 3mm offerings just don't seem to have the same loving attention
as given to the vehicles, IMO. They almost seem as if they're an afterthought
that HAD to be included in order to finish the line. Highly detailed figures in
a variety of poses and nationalities along with more offernigs of
fortified/entrenched positions would fill a market niche. I also think cavalry
and wagon/logistic figures would also be a great idea.

That is once we create masters for our Weird World War II project and its based
on an existing WWII weapon / vehicle, we will create a true WWII variant. What
do you need for your WWII games ?

Well in the trenches and having to advance or rush between them being prone was
really not an option ;) LOL. Robert

"Seriously, we sometimes get caught up in the 25/28/30 mm world of "small museum
pieces" mindset"

I don't think that one necessarily has to have a "small museum pieces mindset"
to merely ask that the same attention given AFVs and aircraft be given to
figures, which IMO is not necessatily being done at the present.

"Other than helmets, what kit is likely to identify specific national non-heavy
weapons equipped troops for infantry in this scale at a practical "viewed at 3
foot distance" rule?

Not all of us have a "viewed at 3 foot distance" rule. Moreover, I wonder why
anyone in the possession of such a rule, would be interested in 3mm in the first
place? Anyway, I would say that Oddzy does a fairy good job of representing
side-arms, especially with their ACW line. And why represent 'specific national
non-heavy weapons'?? I think simply denoting their presence on a figure is
enough, we can mentally add-in the detail as we would be aware of their
presence. I do understand those little figures are a challenge to manufacture,
but I was just answering the question as to what I'd like to see.

the WW2 German paras have 11 stands of 5 men standing in a lose ack ack
formation. I put two stands per base (one behind the other), looks good for any
time period of the 20th century.
