33rd Virginia Company A was founded in 1972 and is incorporated in the State of Indiana as a nonprofit corporation for historical and educational purposes. Through living history programs, battle recreations, and other similar programs, the 33rd Virginia Company A provides the public, as well as participants, with a living dynamic portrayal of the War Between the States and of an infantry component in the famous "Stonewall Brigade" of the Confederate Army. The unit also portrays the 33rd Indiana of the Union Army as the need arises.

Incorporating both military and civilian reenactors, we strongly encourage the participation of the entire family. Our civilian auxiliary depicts the hardships of family life during this terrible time in our nation's history.
