Description

This is a volunteer project to encourage people to lobby for laws to require all schools to teach about grid computing in all basic computer classes. Grid computing is an enormous, virtually untapped, FREE resource, immediately available, that can significantly help with world problems ranging from curing all sorts of diseases, to predicting natural disasters, to solving scientific and environmental problems. The next paragraph provides a more extensive listing of grid computing projects, but if you really want to learn about 'Project 2plus2is4' and then about grid computing, including viewing interesting videos from IBM, and listening to a podcast from the head of a cancer research project, then please visit http://www.2plus2is4.com

Besides medical research to cure diseases such as AIDS, Alzheimer's, assorted childhood diseases, cancer, diabetes, Huntington's, malaria, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, leukemia, lupus, lyme disease, Parkinson's, SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), and many other illnesses, grid computing is being used to solve massive math problems like looking for prime numbers and expanding the value of pi; crop research; weather forcasting and climate prediction; nanotechnology; SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence); quantum physics; earthquake, volcano, and tsunami prediction; 'big bang' research; searching for gravity waves and signals emitted by pulsars; finding oil; detecting space objects which threaten earth (comets and asteroids); improving the design of particle accelerators; pollution and ecological control; and for many other types of computer intensive research. And all of that is done by using the Internet to collect the spare (wasted) computer power from volunteer's personal computers. It is absolutely safe and secure, as explained by IBM -- one of the innovators of this technology. Please at least take the time to visit my site to learn more. The life your computer helps save could be someone you love!
