Welcome to the electronic encampment of the

First Virginia Regiment of the Continental Line.

The First Virginia Regiment is a not-for-profit educational corporation dedicated to recreating the Continental soldier and his camp life.

All members of the regiment are encouraged to gather here to discuss topics of relevance to the unit, exchange information, or merely pass the time of day. Come on in... the fire's warm, the ale's cold, and the company's good.

The goals of this encampment are:

• To foster communication among all members of the unit...
• Keep people talking and thinking about the unit between events...
• Get more people in the unit talking to each other...
• Provide a forum for ideas...
• Opportunity for ideas to be discussed not just with the CO, but among the whole membership...
• A place for gripes to get out in the open (within reason...)
