MILLIONS of pounds of business and HUNDREDS of UK jobs are lost EVERY year we stay out of the shared currency. If we had joined years ago the credit crunch would NOT have been so bad. Failure to join the Euro (already the world's second most traded currency) would be catastrophic for the UK. Participation in the shared currency will place the UK at the heart of Europe and will protect jobs for hundreds of thousands of British workers. While we stay out our products are more expensive both here and across the EU (our biggest market) than similar products from other EU manufacturers.
