Terrific New BAR Music Book   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #5089 of 5121 |
The new BAR book is absolutely terrific! It's beautifully produced with very
easily read music notation and with a durable binding that lies flat. It's
neatly organized including a section of specifically American music, and it
builds on all the research that's taken place over the last 25 years or more, by
the authors, editor, and others in the field including Camus, Cifaldi (and many
more, all credited). I particularly liked the paragraph on tempos on page 4,
which summarized the quick step/common step tempos and how to march to them.

Thanks and congratulations to all involved! I bought it through the brigade's
web site. (this may read like a sales pitch so I should add that I don't know
anyone involved with the book. I'm not even a member of the brigade)
