Description

Share and enhance your knowledge about the clothing worn in europe in the time period from 1350-1500 AD. All interests in garb from this time period welcome. I hope everyone can find this a place to learn from beginners to experts.

Discussions can range from fabrics to style and include Men's and Women's wear. Those looking to copy authentic garments and also those simply wanting to recreate garb from this time period are both welcome.

14th century clothing is typified by a cotehardie or gothic style fitted dress and a sideless surcoat (also called The Gates of Hell for revealing so much of the female figure underneath!)

Keywords: cotehardie, sideless surcoat, gates of hell, 14th century, tunic, SCA, garb, historical recreation, medieval clothing.
