This group is intended as forum to connect people who are interested
in 12th Century medieval clothing. We aim to share and expand
knowledge about the clothing and accessories worn in Europe between AD
1100-1200 by both the aristocracy and the working classes. While much
of the research up to the present has focused on either the high court
fashions of French and English women (particularly the elusive
"bliaut") or that worn by the armies of the Outremer, we are
constantly trying to improve our understanding of what was worn by men
& women in the rest of Europe during this time period.

We welcome you, whether you've only recently become interested in the
12th century and its clothing, or whether you are an experienced
costumer. When applying to join this list, please indicate in the
